These Kentucky Republicans rejected $26 million from a data center. Now they’ve turned against Trump

Two Kentucky women who turned down $26 million to sell their family farm are questioning their support for President Donald Trump over his stance on AI data centers.

In a CNN interview, Mason County residents Delsia Bare and her mother, Ida Huddleston, described how representatives approached them about purchasing their 1,200-acre farm without disclosing who was behind the deal or what the land would be used for.

Residents suspect Meta is involved, but the company has not confirmed plans for a Kentucky data center. Both women voted for Trump three times, but his warning that communities rejecting data centers would end up “backward and poor” struck a nerve.
