She went to a routine ICE check-in. She later miscarried in a Kentucky detention center

According to testimony from the National Immigrant Justice Center, Anabell was arrested after showing up for a routine ICE appointment and later discovered she was pregnant while detained at Kentucky’s Campbell County Detention Center.

Her attorney says she was forced to perform physical labor and did not receive adequate medical care when she began bleeding. She later miscarried. The testimony also described barriers to confidential legal calls, including strict time limits and denied requests for longer access.
