Gov. Andy Beshear called out Rep. Andy Barr, who is running to replace Mitch McConnell in the U.S. Senate, for supporting Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which cut billions in Medicaid funding.
Beshear connected Barr’s support of the bill to the looming threat of rural hospital closures in Kentucky and how those closures will impact healthcare access, rural economies, employment, and more.
Barr has pushed back, questioning the validity of the hospital-closure study.
