ICE is reportedly planning to equip its officers with Taser gloves capable of delivering electric shocks of up to 380 volts to people they are trying to apprehend. DHS said it could spend up to $20 million on the gloves, which are manufactured by Kentucky-based Compliant Technologies.
In a demonstration video posted by company founder Jeff Niklaus, an officer with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department can be seen screaming and falling to the ground after being shocked by the glove.
