A Boone County student urged school leaders to take a harder look at how AI is being used in classrooms. Her concerns were far greater than students using AI to write essays or finish assignments.
Schools across the country are still deciding where AI belongs in education as generative tools become easier for students to access and abuse. The student warned that relying on them too heavily could weaken basic learning skills and make students more dependent on technology, as well as causing severe environmental harm.
